What to Expect At
Your First Visit

Lighthouse Foot and Ankle Center is a direct care practice. We do not participate with insurance plans, and payment is due at the time of service.

Your first visit is a comprehensive, one-on-one evaluation designed to understand the root cause of your foot or ankle concern and create a clear plan forward.

During your visit, you can expect:

  • Dedicated one-on-one time with Dr. Kurlanski to review your history, symptoms, and goals
  • A detailed examination focused on identifying the underlying cause of your condition
  • A personalized treatment plan tailored to your lifestyle and needs
  • A clear discussion of treatment options, including advanced therapies and upfront pricing
  • Time for your questions — never rushed, never transactional

Important Information Before You Schedule

  • This visit is a medical evaluation, not a routine foot care appointment
  • We do not offer routine nail trimming or maintenance foot care services
  • Visit fees are reviewed prior to scheduling and are due at the time of service

Insurance & Superbills

We can provide a superbill for medically necessary services, which you may submit to your commercial insurance plan with out-of-network benefits for potential reimbursement. Coverage is determined by your insurance carrier.

Please note:

  • Routine foot care services (such as nail and callus trimming) are not eligible for superbills
  • We have opted out of Medicare and are not able to bill Medicare or provide superbills for patients with Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans

If you wish to use your Medicare or Medicare Advantage benefits, we recommend seeking care with a provider who participates in those plans.
